Caring for our injured wildlife
Highlights
Johnny Kingdom & Phil Groombridge, working together to save our wildlife
Wildlife Rescue was founded by Phil Groombridge 23 years ago.
We have a small care centre where we care for all wild animals.
Our ambulance is always on call to rescue and treat injured creatures.
Years of experience gained in handling and treatment of various animals and waterfowl,
ensures many creatures are now alive that would otherwise have died from their injures.
We publish a artical every month in the local paper, Salisbury Journal.
Education and Awareness
One of the aims of Wildlife Care Centre is to increase the level of understanding and knowledge of issues that effect all wildlife.
Wildlife Rescue visits schools and many different typs of venues promoting awareness through education and conservation of wildlife.
Helping others with problems
Our Helpline gives advice and help with any-non-emergency wildlife problems.
We also assist landowners, vets, councils, RSPCA, RSPB and police on a 24hr basis.
Helping the underprivileged
We visit hospitals and retirement homes to show people our non-releasable animals. As a wildlife rescue organization we belive that the disabled and the less fortunate in society
should be able to have access to wildlife at close quarters. Being able to youch the animals gives great joy.
